James Blunt Performs “Goodbye My Lover”

There is a particular line in this song that grabs me: “so I took what’s mine by eternal right– took your heart out into the night.” This line here suffices to elevate this song over Blunt’s more well-known “You’re Beautiful.” This song emanates more emotions of retributions. Whilst “You’re Beautiful” remains a more platonic minded song. “Goodbye My Lover” does not really sound like a goodbye. I suppose this is the Oxford Philosophical Thought.
